The American Homesteading Foundation or AHF is a not-for-profit organization that owns and manages more than 50 acres of park land, community swimming pool, recreation hall, and sponsors educational and social events year round for all ages. It is not an HOA.
Run by an elected board of trustees assisted by a small part-time staff of three, the AHF administrates the privately owned property on behalf of - and with the help of its members. Approximately 25% of the membership volunteers their time in one way or another.
In addition to the diverse natural park areas, the AHF owns a meeting hall that seats 100, swimming pool, playground, basketball court, baseball field, and community vegetable garden.
